TERM 2, 2022

This term we are using our detective skills to learn about the world around us. We will learn what a forensic scientist does, and practise being detectives to solve mysteries and puzzles. Thanks to #Harbour&Sprout we have some beautiful resources to use! Check out their forensics unit here... https://www.harborandsprout.com/collections/h-s-individual-units/products/harbor-sprout-a-forensic-science-unit

We are enjoying reading mystery books... from classic Sherlock Holmes, to Nancy Drew and Nate the Great. We are also having fun playing detectives- from searching for clues as to where the chickens are laying their eggs, to practising secret spy moves around the back yard!

On our Wild Adventure Day we will use observation and detection skills to find tracks and evidence of wildlife around us, and to learn to identify some of the living things in and around our beautiful ngahere (forests), awa (rivers) and tuaone (coasts).

It's going to be an exciting term!
